Not sure why the ratings aren't great - this is always my first stop in Montana when I come from Seattle. I feel like the prices are reasonable; I always leave satisfied. The bison burgers are delicious, likewise the fries. I am in love with the huckleberry milkshake. The decor is cute, very 1950s diner. Sometimes the servers are testy; sometimes they are warm and playful. I think of this place as the In 'N' Out of Saint Regis.

Good food but Bad service & rude girl... Ordered a large fry & got a small... Another person with us got small & they were the same size... We asked them about it & we heard the manager say it was a small... She came right back & said it was a large... We said we just heard her say it was a small! She said no you didn't... She said it was a large... So we said the small & large are the same size but different prices? She said yes! I will not go back if that girl still works there.

Well, where to start. The basics are: Way overpriced, cheap quality food, small burgers. I knew I was in for disappointment when I saw the cook pulling pre-formed, packaged patties from the paper separators. Just like if you're going cheap and easy at home, the burgers shrink down very small and are not amazing in any way. The cost of a burger starts at $5 or $5.50. My daughter got a #1, and the rest of us (5 total) got plain cheeseburgers. So, 5 burgers, 2 fries, 2 small drinks, 1 medium drink, and 1 shake, $43! Left the quite disappointed. My wife liked the fries, I did not. More frozen/pre packaged junk. I asked for well done, not even close. The butterscotch shake I liked, but again, small and pricey. There ya go. I wouldn't go again.

I'd get the cheese fries again. For $4.50, you get a huge basket of handcut, crispy fries smothered in warm cheese sauce. It doesn't exactly taste like real cheese, but is nonetheless satisfying, in the mysterious way of fast food. Everything else we tried wasn't worth the money. Food here is expensive for what it is (even by California standards -- over $10 a person for food of this quality is ridiculous); the veggie burger was $6.50 and came with one very anemic piece of lettuce, an equally dejected slice of tomato, and a veggie patty that reminded me of my school cafeteria's (this is not a good thing). We ended up dipping this sad little veggie burger in the melted cheese sauce of our fries, which helped, but not enough. The malted vanilla milkshake tasted like malt and really bad vanilla ice cream -- you know, the stuff made with corn syrup solids and fillers that has hardly any relationship with real dairy. The aftertaste was so cloying and artificial that we threw almost all of it away. In-N-Out, we missed you so much that day. Oh, and the flies inside were distracting. They definitely found our meal more appetizing than we did.

I don't know why the bad ratings either. We have had milkshakes before but today was a first time for the food. It was fifties diner style inside. The burgers were tasty. The fries crisp but soft inside and but not greasy. Topping it off with a tasty shake and I should have worn stretchier pants.

Burgers are small and won't fill a hungry man. They aren't cheap; more expensive than Dick's and McDonalds combined. But, the food is good and it's a great stop before heading to the Bison range. The fries are delicious as well! I tried the Huckleberry milkshake and wasn't expecting it to be anything. Boy, it blew me away. Probably the best milkshake I've had so far! There was only one lady that worked there when we arrived. She handled the money and the food... I didn't catch her using the sink, which is right next to the cashier, so I'm assuming she made our food after taking our cash. Nooooo!

I really wanted to like this place. It is a 50's style hamburger joint in a pink, black & chrome theme. It looks really cute but very very hot inside. I got the #1 meal deal for $9.95. The burger was very small about the size of a Wendy's $1 value menu burger and the patty was very thin and very over cooked, like a hockey puck. The only redeeming item was the fries. They were hand cut with no salt, just the way I like them. And they are the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. The place is also full of flies. I suggested a fly strip but she said they can't use them around the food. That they spray after close every night and clean up the dead ones in the morning and do the same thing each day as apparently it is a bad time for flies in MT. I'm sorry but there has to be a better way. CLOSE OFF the entrance they are coming in from. Use fly strips outside of entry ways which is away from the food. I have been to the St Regis Gift Shop across the road and they have a grill and they do not have this problem. There is a solution to this you just have to find it!

This place looks great from the outside. Should have left when the rude lady behind the counter greeted me with a scowl, but sometimes this indicates a decent place to eat, because people come for the food. Meal was $30 for two of us. Cheap, frozen hockey puck beef patty on one and terrible buffalo patty on others. Really bad onion rings. Possible the worst burger place I have ever been to. My buddy said the same thing. Good huckleberry shake, ovoid everything else.

The small twist cones are enormous! The large twist.. obscene! Fun place to stop on your way thru, or when your stopping for gas. Its a fun destination spot for the kids and parents to stretch their legs, and get a tasty treat. Oh and the twist cones are now Lactose/Gluten free.

Stopped by here to grab some lunch during a road trip. Cute little diner with lots of character (reminds me of 50's diners). There are about 10 different burger choices, ranging from your standard burger to a pizza burger. All burgers can be made with buffalo meat too, for an additional cost. There were tons of milkshake options too... I didn't try one, but my friend got a vanilla shake and said it was pretty good. The burgers were nice and flavorful, and reasonably priced (~$7). The fries were delicious as well.
